Adeline Angst, STEM
This is my first year at Discovery Charter School and I am very excited to begin it teaching STEM! I recently graduated from Wartburg College and moved to Minneapolis from my home in Rochester. I have had experience teaching a wide range of grades and readily embrace this opportunity to connect with all the wonderful students of Discovery.
Jessica Erickson, Music
This is my second year teaching music at Discovery Charter School and my tenth year teaching. I taught middle school and high school choir in south east South Dakota before moving to Saint Paul in 2017. Outside of sharing my love of music with our DCS students I am also a member of the Cathedral Choir at the Cathedral of Saint Paul and I also perform with the Saint Catherine’s Choral Society.
Dan Chapman, Physical Education
My name is Mr. Chapman and am starting my second year at discovery charter school teaching physical education. Before being at discovery I spent one year in Minneapolis teaching elementary phy. ed and 6 years as a long-term substitute and regular substitute teacher in ISD 622. Also I coached soccer, track and field, wrestling and basketball within ISD 622 at the middle school and high school level. I received my bachelors degree in teaching physical education at Concordia St-Paul.
Nicole Soley, Art
This is my second year teaching art at Discovery Charter School and my second year teaching! During the summer months, you can find me teaching art at Camp Robindel in New Hampshire as the Arts & Crafts Department Head. I am a cooperative member at Highpoint Center for Printmaking in Minneapolis where I love to create prints. My artwork has been exhibited nationally and internationally. When I am not teaching, I enjoy making prints, backpacking, or cooking!
